World-Class Dentistry is Just Around the Corner

World-class dentistry is just around the corner.

With all this exciting talk about Whole Health Dentistry at the Hindin Center, and our comprehensive approach to oral health, you might be wondering, “Can I get this nagging cavity taken care of?” You can— and by a team of dental professionals who are well-trained and highly-experienced in the procedures that you need most often.

Non-Metal Fillings—When teeth develop decay, it destroys the hard outer material of the tooth. The decay must be removed and a “filling” placed to repair the missing tooth structure. At the Hindin Center we use only tooth colored, composite restorations—never mercury or metal-based.

Crowns—When teeth have large decay areas, cracks or fractures that are too big to be restored with a filling, a crown or cap is made to replace the damaged portion of the tooth. A crown is used to completely cover the old tooth. Most often we use gold, tooth-colored resin, zirconia or ceramic in our crowns, or combinations of the three. At the Hindin Center we are also using computer imaging technology for fabrication of crowns that ensure a better, more comfortable fit.

Bridges—When a number of crowns are linked together to replace missing teeth, you have a bridge. The bridge is cemented onto the teeth on either side of the gap, and is not removable. Generally, gold and porcelain or zirconia and porcelain are used to fabricate the bridge.

Dentures—In the unfortunate event that one of our patients looses all of his or her teeth, we create a prosthetic device to replace the missing teeth, commonly called a denture. These are generally removable. We take great care at the Hindin Center to create an aesthetically pleasing denture device that is colored and sized to match your age and facial shape.

Root Canal—Inside your teeth are areas that contain blood vessels, nerves and dental pulp. They can become infected and inflamed and sometimes removal of the pulp tissue, commonly called a root canal therapy, must be done. We are aware of the controversy regarding root canal treatment. By evaluating each person's conditions and needs as well as the benefits and risks of treatment, we assist each patient in choosing the best treatment for them. This procedure tends to evoke nervousness in patients, but at the Hindin Center, root canal therapy is painless and professional. Relief comes quickly.

Implants—An implant is a man-made replacement for the natural tooth root that allows a patient to enjoy a more secure dental restoration. Implants are inserted into bone.  Implants are made of biologically compatible materials that are medically safe. The high rate of  success of implants today offers more treatment options than ever before.  We have extensive experience with implants at the Hindin Center.

Laser Therapy—We use two types of laser therapies in our office. On tooth structure we employ a hard tissue laser that uses light energy to remove decay and clean the teeth, frequently to eliminate resistant stains. The hard tissue laser can often be used painlessly with little to no anesthesia. Our soft tissue laser is used for treating problems with the gums. It can be used to remove unhealthy tissue, clean bacteria “pockets,” and for cosmetic gum surgery. The recovery time with lasers is short and at the Hindin Center we are constantly upgrading our laser equipment to provide the best oral care.
